How it all began...

Years ago when working in electronics retail management, I quickly learned that I need a term do describe the issue when a customer just didn't have the smarts to work what they were buying. After many conversations with customers and many phone calls, these issues became know as: "It sounds like you may have and ESO Problem... Have you tried putting batteries IN the remote... There you go, now it will work. Have a nice day." ESO = Equipment Superior to Operator.

A Day in the Office...

The conversation went something like this...

Phone page system rings...

"Patrick, How do I access my scanned documents folder?"

"Ok, first click My Computer..."

Waiting for a response.

"Um, I can't find it."

"It's either on your desktop, or in the start menu."

"OK, one second..."

Waiting for a response... I hear click, click, click.... click.....click, click, click....

"I can't find it..."

"It's either on your desktop, or in the start menu."

Waiting for a response... again... About a minute of silence passes...

"I can't find it..."

"OK, Um... It sounds like and ESO Problem. I'll be right down..."

Thank goodness I needed some more coffee... Otherwise it was a wasted trip down stairs...
